I am the water, rushing, hear the sound

hellow boys and girls. last night was exquisite! first time naming tumugtog sa saguijo sa makati and the places was packed — actually the place was kinda small so you can pack it easily — ooh i love to pack haha! enough with the packing.

late ako ng konti dumating kse i was at the office with the camera and other equipment, and brain and dru fetch me lng after they setup the drums in makti. so ok lng.

too bad i didnt hear the firsts few songs off chubibo‘s gig — kagabi ko lng sila narinig actually at sobrang promising ng tunog nila. para silang no doubt without the ska/reggae bit. doc does shit on his bass, nakakatakot na sha. nxt time cguro magiging stunt pilot na yun — lahat yata kaya nyang gawin e hahaha! irene and monsi were there too, kaso — wala si nico! nico, chubibo’s drummer, is pretty hooked on dave weckl and can play like dave weckl, too. sayang wala sha, dalawa sanang malulupit na drummers yng andun kagabi (the other one being alay, the birthday boy)

makopa played a very enjoyable but mind-boggling set grabeng mga time signatures yan! they were so freakin sweet! its a good thing i suggested that we record the whole thing on alay’s rig (a p4 class pc with new data drive haha, creative audigy2, running cubase2 sx) — were thinking of releasing a bootleg audio cd and probably upload the videos (for the folks abroad — o ha!) anyways, obviously masaya yung set nila kse sobrang masaya yng happy birthday boy drummer nila — andmai ngang sabit e (we got it on tape!) ahahaha…pero oks lng. brithday mo naman chong. they did a very tasteful conconction of 8 original compositions.

kami ang sunod! wooowhoo whatevuritakes funks the night away! starting off with a fresh baki compo — Bukas, which is an instrumental, so jack (vocals) had a hand on the bonggos for this one, jst to set everyone in the mood. we did 5 songs yata, and the set laste dfor like an hour and a half and my arms and shoulders were aching na sobra. mashado kse akong showman, kaya gmait ko yung bonggos and congas sabay! ok naman tunog ah! hahaha. so yun. masayang masaya kme lahat, jack got to sing his faves, especially silungan, our only filipino song; dru got high on chokes and shuffles while drumming, brian didn’t break a bass string whoopie!, and monsi showed them who is boss. yan e. hahaha. tapos shempre free beer kaya walang malungkot na nilalang kagabi.

tumugtog din yung up music circle long hair band, or whats left of them — wala kse yng ibang members, natakot yata sa baha. pero oks lng, happy happy.

sa mga hindi nakapunta, belat! haha, de loko lng, we understand kse may bagyo yadda yadda — pero next time ok? ok? ok!
